The Hanging Sword of Land Grabbing - Pakistan

Over the past couple of years, the menace of land grabbing has picked up in Karachi. This criminal act would not be possible unless rogue public officials and law enforcement individuals were involved. Largely, it has been state property and its departments which have been targeted, but a large portion of private property (which has lying vacant) has also been occupied by people who refuse to leave it unless there is an armed operation remove them. This hardly happens.

In some instances the illegal occupant is conned as well. They buy a vacant property from someone who is protected by a political party which is backed by an organised mafia who may initially pose as the owner at the time of purchase the land. However, the sale is usually made with the understanding of the actual status, and both parties are guaranteed protection.

Keep Karachi bleeding

Previously, I had written that guns are not the problem in Karachi rather it is new migrants to this city which have come here on an agenda, or maybe dream of becoming rich quick. The most shocking part of the land grabber’s strategy is to keep Karachi bleeding. With law enforcement agencies busy in finding murderers the land grabbers can continue their work. The result? The people of Karachi suffer the evil of “target killing” on a daily basis.

The mafia has tried to further destabilise the law and order situation under the patronage of a corrupt political party. This is not the first time the party has been identified behind such activities. On numerous occasions they have been known to create hurdles for the government.

A recent attempt to clear public land held by members of an ethnic political party, resulted in severe violence. Within 30 minutes of the operation the police was forced to stop its activities because the police party was being indiscriminately fired upon. The incident resulted in the death of two individuals. It is difficult to understand why senior police officers chose to halt the operation when backup could have been asked for considering police were attacked.

Do you have a flag?

If you dare to visit this place it is in an area where the party’s flag wave from every house and arms are openly carried around by the land mafia. Almost every district in Karachi has illegal occupations, but there is little that can be done about it. The rightful owners are scared of speaking out as they fear a reaction. It worries me that our very vocal media is uninterested in highlighting the land mafia, investigating it and creating awareness about this issue, with the interest they have shown in the fake degrees cases. We must understand that if we do not help stop this now then it cannot be controlled later.

It could very well be your property which could be illegally possessed by these people in connivance with officials. It will not matter if you have always owned it. Forging documents is not difficult, as we all know since our politicians have been doing the same. You can try to fight the case in court to get back your land but with judiciary understaffed judiciary how long will you continue to attend hearings for your own property? The time will come when your property is illegally occupied or sold under your nose. Not to mention the possible of physical harm and threats to your life and your family members which will be enough for you to let go of your office, factory, shop or even your house.

All Pakistanis are free to move within the country and migrate to any place they wish without being stopped or questioned. This does not mean that they adopt the mantra”if you cannot legally buy it, you should grab it” just because they have the power and the backing of the mafia. A large Pakistani population works abroad. They work hard to earn a living but do not behave like this. The same people are on their best behavior abroad, whether as law abiding (permanent or temporary) citizens, which shows we have the ability to follow laws. But only if they are enforced fairly and stictly, so there is still hope.

A way forward

Civil society, NGOs, rights and justice organizations must start campaigns against these criminals. I suggest the government start low priced residential schemes on easy installments within and around the outskirts of Karachi for migrants. If resources do not meet the needs of city’s population then the authorities must arrange for alternates. If they cannot, then they must put a stop to migration and return the occupied properties to their rightful owners, before there is complete collapse of law and order.

Law enforcement agencies must continue recovery operations with the support of the media in exposing the perpetrators behind this mafia, so that this matter is taken care of once and for all. I don’t know what happens upcountry but Karachi appears to be illegally under the control of these criminals who could be stronger than our local government and the police.

Karachi, always been a welcoming city, needs peace. Together we can achieve it, all she asks for is us to live and let live as law abiding citizens.

ANP Taliban Nexus Expose in Karachi

From a long time MQM saying it publically that ANP and Talibans are working together in Karachi but there are people who always deny it and give excuses that ANP is fighting with Talibans in KPK so how they can work with Talibans in Karachi.

But now it is all exposed that how Talibans are working as Office bearers of ANP in Karachi.

On the night of 25th Nov 2010, 2 Rangers personnel who were on intelligence duty in Sultanabad, very close to Place where CID building was targeted just few days back, as they are searching for terrorists who attacked the CID Building, ANP local leader Zain Mehsud attacked both the rangers personnel, torture them, snatch their weapons and wireless sets and then get back into Sultanabad.

Only after this Rangers came into action and starts operation against ANP.

According to Rangers, Zain Mehsud is a close aid of Taliban Leader Baithullah Mehsud, and involved in heinous crimes in Karachi, including Land Grabbing. According to rangers he was caught by the People doing robbery and people were setting him on fire when Police saved him.

Here Jang Crime Reporter Afzal Nadeem Dogar exposing the Political affiliation of Zain Mehsud.

After all this can any sane person deny the Links, Cooperation of ANP and Talibans in Karachi and their involvement in Heinous Crimes?

After this Operation ANP again tries to play Pukhtun Card and called it operation against Pukhtuns and tries to save its Terrorists and criminals.

Like i always said and from this incident it is Proved that ANP strong holds are heaven for Talibans and ANP are giving them Shelter in Karachi and now it is exposed and no one can deny it.

Where is all that Money Imran Khan?

I was browsing different websites on internet and suddenly i saw website of Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf or PTI and in the news section i saw a news,

Chairman PTI Imran Khan helped raise £60,000 for Pakistan's flood victims when he was the star guest at a gala fund raising dinner in Leeds.
Imran Khan joined hands with MKRF of Jang Group and the group and Mr Khan claimed that they have raised more then 1.2 Billion rupees for the flood victims.

I have few questions for Mr Khan, PTI and MKRF.
Where is all that money?
Where it is used till now?
The flood victims are going back to their homes how much money Mr Khan raised for them have been given to them till now?
Where is the news and media coverage of all that?

Geo and Jang who are partners with Imran Khan are Quite, Imran Khan is seen no where helping people who suffered from the flood.

People didn't gave that money to be kept in bank account for making interest on it nor it was for Imran Khan Party fund for election, it was meant for the flood victims and after couple of months, not a single penny is seen using anywhere in Pakistan for the flood victims.

Imran Khan Publicity stunt is just like Saver Raffle Tickets of Zardari and Qarz Utaro Mulk Sanwaro of Nawaz Sharif and nothing else, seems Mr Khan who has no resource of earning cashed the golden event of Flood inPakistan to raise money for himself and his party and the flood victims got nothing.

I hope PTI will try to reply with evidence where those 60,000 Pounds and more then 1.2 Billion Rupees spend collected for flood victims as Pakistanis and flood victims has already seen the face of Imran Khan.

In Karachi Guns are not the problem

Since 2009, different quarters have been calling for the de-weaponization of Karachi. But with minimal trust in law enforcement agencies, many would feel safe with a licensed weapon in their possession, ideally placed in hands reach and to be used for defense only.
Ironically the ones who call for de-weaponization are the same ones who wear weapons as traditional ‘jewelry for men’. But is this the only way to help curb target killing in Karachi? But why in Karachi?
Karachi has imported many cultures over the years. Traditions came with the migrants whether from across the border or from up the frontier and are all are free in this city to be whoever they are.
There is severe shortage of LEA’s for the city in comparison to other parts of Pakistan. Most of the police and rangers are not from Karachi. They hail from various villages and towns, and are sent here to keep a leash on the residents and maintain security half heartedly. Corruption is rampant from top to bottom within the whole system. Police stations are “sold” and power offering public seats are regularly bid upon. Regular bribes are traded and there is hardly any accountability or rule of law.
In a city like this who would want to be stripped of the only defense one has? The thing which allows you to feel empowered, secure and safe?
There was legislation passed by the Parliament asking for submission of licensed or illegal weapon to the same police station which gives you chills even when driving by it. How many would actually deposit their weapon knowing the morals and ethics our society possesses.
A decade ago only the rich, influential, sardar’s, industrialists, and feudal cum politicians living in Karachi were seen roaming around with guards openly displaying their weapons. Perhaps this has not changed much, except that some can afford private security guards with spiffy uniforms now.
Suppose we were to de-weaponize every part of the country? The campaign needs to start after from when the weapons are made, which is the North and move downwards to the South of Pakistan as this tradition of keeping weapons came very last in this city.
Therefore, as per the ethnic based political party, the “target killing” in Karachi will not end until the city has been de-weaponized. We can now understand that this menace is something which is not going to stop anytime soon, because they know it is impossible to strip the city of 20 million from house to house, and still be free of weapons.

Flood of Taxes - Elite exempted

“Unless we are prepared to share bread with our grief- and disaster-stricken brethren, we should not expect others to help us,”President Zardari said in a meeting with his party members, in order to rally support for the one-time flood tax on the wealthy of this country. Little does he remember that the civil working society of Pakistan, has physically, emotionally and financially been helping the grief stricken since he was on his trip to France and UK. Only if the President was in Pakistan and had displayed sincerity with his people then, rather than challenging the news reports about his negligence, the world would have donated and provided generously to Pakistan. But the party and the Government was too busy defending their leader from “propaganda” unleashed by the local and International media against their lack of attention to the crises.

People have not understood why the tax is imposed only in Sindh and why not all over Pakistan? When all four provinces were affected by the floods. Perhaps, the ruling party’s power base is in Sindh and in order to implement this tax nationwide they proposed to start from the province. Based on the political feedback, pressure of injustice, it will give a valid reason to implement it throughout the country at a later stage. Isn’t this tax on the residents of Sindh discriminatory?

As the devastation from the floods had begun, it would have been the right chance for the Government to file for waivers of previous loans, of which the country pays around US$ 2 billion in interest only. Rather our state has acquired more loans from the IMF, ADB and the WB to add to the burden. Donations from around the world still remain lower than the annual interest of the previous loans that exceed US$ 55 billion. The world offered help in kind mostly, avoiding cash payments. Instead the NGOs and Humanitarian organizations are preferred by the donors who provide fair and transparent disbursement of the aid.

Government of Punjab has clearly denied the implementation of flood tax, as they are already collecting income tax on agricultural products in their province. The remaining three provinces are not able to expand the tax net on its agriculture sectors. The ruling party of Khyber Pakhtunkhuwa is with the Government in implementing the flood tax in Sindh, but we do not know what will their position be once the same is applied in their province.

Pakistan needs to concentrate on economic rehabilitation of the areas affected by the floods. Serious land reforms are required at this stage in order to accommodate the displaced, who have lost all their belongings. The agriculture sector in Pakistan makes up for the quarter of the country’s economy, and tax contribution from this sector is nil. Prices of products have tripled since the beginning of floods, which has allowed artificial shortage and stock hoardings, and there is hardly any check or accountability of the elite, landlords and the feudals. The poor continue to subsidize the rich, and the working class regularly contributes to the national economy by tax deductions at source.

5% of the total working class of Pakistan pays income tax, once it qualifies for the set earnings bracket. The remaining are too rich or working on minimum salary brackets. Until 2007, income tax was paid by almost 1.7 million professionals, but since last year the number fell down to less than 1.0 million. This additional burden of flood tax is bound to increase the income tax share by an additional 10% from the working class, who is already under the immense pressure of making ends meet, as inflation soars to above 30%.

Pakistan has tax-to-GDP ratio of around 9.6%, while many countries in the EU go up to 45%. The US stands around 30% and many other Asian states level at 15%, including India which is triple our size and population but maintains about 18%. Pakistan needs serious structural reforms within the tax-collection units. The policies need to be adjusted to expand the tax net without burdening or targeting only the working class in this economy, and letting the others go free and unaccountable. These are the fundamentals steps which need to be taken for reducing poverty which lies at 33% in Pakistan.

There are numerous other sectors and section where the Government can generate an additional Rs. 25 billion, such as reducing state expenditures and controlling the Rs. 300 billion annual loss by the public sector. However it appears that this Government will go ahead with the new “Flood Tax” on a national level, even then they will not be able to generate the amount as desired.

VAT is no more being implemented, because of the political outburst. However, the same when being applied as RGST, seems to be nobody’s concern, and there is no reaction from the political parties or the civil society. This percentage increase in to the existing Sales-Tax is expected to generate and additional revenue of Rs. 300 billion for the FBR, which will then help push up the Tax to GDP ratio to 12% in next 5 years.

During the 2005 earthquake, Pakistan received more than US$ 6 billion in cash and kind, and the whole nation was mobilized with physical and monetary contribution for its people. To fully recover from the floods, Pakistan needs double the amount, but unfortunately we have not been able to reach half of it.

I sadly wonder why?

Talibans Attack On Karachi .

The People who said NO Talibans in Karachi are responsible for this attack and loss of life including Zulfiqar Mirza, ANP and Jamat e Islami.

Time Now to Unite against Talibans their supporters, facilitators and sympathizers otherwise our families will face the same tomorrow.

Dr. Imran Farooq - Another Victim of the Status Quo!

Until today no one knows where Dr. Imran Farooq had been from 1992 to 1996, and how was he able to magically run the movement from undisclosed locations within Pakistan, especially at a time when the it was decided to completely finish off this group of students-now-leaders by the establishment and the ruling parties then. A party that started off with 5% representation and now close to 10% was solidified during the time when the chief was out of the country and the complete leadership was underground for fear of their lives. Dr. Imran Farooq was the practical application of Altaf Hussain’s ideology of realism and practicality. He was a teacher to many and a personality of honesty, loyalty with determination, leaving behind the legacy and importance of a disciplined organizational structure for the people of Pakistan to benefit from and adapt to it as a routine.

As always the establishment’s favorite policy of divide and rule has and was well applied whenever needed in Pakistan’s politics e.g PML A to Z. Some were able to be taken off from supporting Altaf Hussain, and were given free hand and lots of funds to create their faction, only to silent the possible uprising of the poor and the educated (urban) middle-class.

The establishment is also known for being able to unite ‘factions’ of the same kind to form IJI, MMA, MML etc. MQM’s call was appealing to the masses, especially when Altaf Hussain held a speech at Minar-e-Pakistan in 1991. At Lahore just one line in his speech rang the alarms across the ruling party and leaders from the elite and influential families, who saw power draining from their hands, as an option was now available. Altaf Hussain said addressing the people that “I would like to see you sitting where the leaders are sitting right now”. Meaning the sofa’s were for the poor and that is where MQM intends to take the commoner through a democratic process to take power back from the “Family politicians” and give it to the rightful masses representing the 98% of the country for their social uplift.

This definitely did not go very well at that time, which led to an organized campaign against MQM and propaganda for the rest of the nation and the world. Whatever, happened after that, most of us may or may not know, but it is an undeniable fact that this movement of the poor and the middle-class only took strength as it was punished and oppressed, and showed that the masses have a voice, which is not corrupt but only efficient and effective. Let it be elections during the operation, after the state atrocities, with political opponents, or democracy under dictators, this party continues to show growth, evolving from students, to ethnicity based regional representatives to national leaders representing the paradigm-shift that Pakistan needs most. When this party was allowed to express its mandate with practicality, from 2002 this movement, looking forward, showed the status quo that it is not necessary that your leader has to be from an influential or a Feudal’s family, but an individual from a middle class family can perform much better, quicker and maybe held responsible and accountable.

It was Dr. Imran Farooq who had formed the code of conduct for this movement as he was the only one who had so eloquently understood what Altaf Hussain wanted for this people, the and aims, objective, with revolutionary goals. In order to achieve all that, patience, persistence, and discipline was needed. What the world saw on 6th November 2010 was the reflection of the man had been teaching his members all his life. More than 200,000 attendants physically present reported by local and international, millions watched the live coverage on TV of this middle class politician with exemplary display of ‘discipline’ which later turned to the buzz-word of the day for the media. The Government played it role to the fullest and provided with the necessary protocol an security. As most traders associations in Karachi support MQM, the businessmen and transporters of the city kept their business on a halt for a day, to pay respect to the leader, and or to avoid any untoward incidents.

By now the city knows that there are people living amongst us who are ready to take advantage of such situations as and when they find a chance to provoke for maximum reaction. The conspirators had launched an SMS campaign since a week before which went around warning of serious target killings, and suicide attacks to take place in Karachi, leading to the day of the funeral prayers and after that. Certainly, this was to scare the locals to not attend the prayer congregation, but as it appears that it only set in with a few on the national media, and social media, because around 15% of the population of Karachi turned up despite of the terror threats.

Muttahida did not blame anybody for the murder of Dr. Imran Farooq, rather they have maintained that they will want to wait for the report of investigation by the Scotland Yard, and expressed their complete confidence with the forensic abilities of London Metropolitan Police. They did not threat to break Pakistan, call another political party “Qatil” (Murders), or went on a total rampage of burning, looting public or private property causing losses to billions within hours, up to few days. This is what is the real fear of the people, which always leads to panic and confusion created by the usual propagandists, who would not want this representative class to take over the Elite and rural power structure.

It is very obvious that once again this party was punished to stop the revolutionary calls for reforming the status quo, hold accountable the corrupt, and to carry out land reforms for the poor of Pakistan. The message taken by this murder was, if these calls do not stop, other leaders may continue to fall victim. This has been the case so far, but had never been able to put this party on a back foot. A wave of dis-information was spread within hours of the murder, which made sure to give an impression that this assassination was an inside job and perhaps the MQM would split and then die a natural death. None of that happened! Except a for few incidents of violence carried out by the same people who may well be connected with the murder plot. But those also came into control after MQM offered to quit the coalition Government if police action against the named culprits was not taken.

Sketch of the possible murderer was released by the London Police a day before the funeral. This is the first time Pakistan has been able to see the e-fit image of a killer of a national leader, and the person is an Asian, probably like all the previous “leader-killers”. He has a companion who is also an Asian, but since 16th September 2010 the world’s best police is not been able to apprehend them. It is very likely that owing to maintain the pride of the investigative department they will get to the killer very soon, especially now that they have a possible sketch of the person. One can only hope to put an end to these political murders, and wish that that the planners, executioners and the financiers of Dr. Imran Farooq’s murder are apprehended, brought to justice and severely punished. To bring the change and help solve this murder I feel it is also our responsibility to circulate the sketch to our contacts to the maximum possible number on your social networks, as someone somewhere will be able to pin point the person, and help this country find an assassin of a Pakistani leader in 63 years. This will change the political power structure of Pakistan and put a name to this invisible hand that gets away with murdering our leaders… always!

Karachi = Target Killing

The term “target killing,” now used as synonym for Karachi, crops up after every two to three months here. The killers certainly have an agenda have lists of people to hit, so as to provoke a reaction from various religious sects, ethnic backgrounds, and social groups. As soon as a precious life is lost, there come, as a backup of the assassins, statements from the media and political or religious quarters that marginalize the efficiency of stake holders of this city of 18 million. Such news reports spread like wild fire all around the city as well as globally, with selective distorted information. This has become our standard operating procedures after every killing.

From all around the country, almost every day we learn about targeted killings of law enforcement officials, slave farmers, domestic workers, Karo Kari, acid spraying incidents, attacks on members of religious minorities, and regular cases of honor killing. But these are not labeled as ‘target killings’ because they didn’t take place in Karachi.

We know, since the beginning of 2010 and from previous years that Karachi has faced the worst experience of the phenomenon of “target killing.” Until now, no one knows who is behind these incidents and what the real agenda is.

The culprits hardly every get caught, because they are either under the protection of “agencies” as we call them, or an invisible foreign hand has something to do with it.

In spite of numerous attempts, when the instigation of an ethnic civil war didn’t materialize, because of the maturity shown by major political parties in Karachi, the agenda shifted to killing based on religious backgrounds. One from either side is assassinated in cold blood, on his way to or back from his profession, and he is either found to be associated with a religious organization or was affiliated with it in the past.

Like any other mega city of the world, Karachi faces the certain challenges and has a fair share of the criminal activities in comparison to the rest of the cities of Pakistan. A city that welcomes millions from every corner of the country is unlike any other example in the region. A revenue generating engine for the nation that involves all its people, is what this city does best. There is great talk about co-existence and it is practically applied.

Law enforcement agencies are paid to be responsible for maintaining peace in the city, and their level of performance shows when they blame political parties or influential harboring criminals ranging from regular petty crimes for target killings.

Even in most developed countries, snatchings of cars, mobiles, purses, ATM cards, money, and other robberies are common. Everyone doesn’t get caught there either and that is why the business of insurance is always booming there. However, a killer is hardly able to roam free and is mostly brought to justice within months. Sadly, this does not happen here!

Here in Karachi your next door neighbor is usually not from the same city you have always lived all your life, nonetheless we live in harmony and with respect. A Karachiite does not mind when their dead are buried in their villages or cities “back home.” The graveyards in the city are only for the stake holders of the metropolis, and frankly only being used by them. I fail to understand why a stakeholder of the city would burn down his own home? That is if that is the case.

Killing targets in Karachi and prompting a severe reaction of the various communities is the easiest and the only way to bring this city to a halt for an extensive economic damage to Pakistan. The day each one of us understands this and stands united against these criminals without believing in conspiracy theories initiated by the same criminals, will be when these killings would stop. We have to clear our minds of self-perceived hatred helped by propaganda machines of particular political parties every time there is a killing. It is then that the blame game starts, which forces us to forget about the killer and the killed.

It’s time to roll up your sleeves and start owning your city for the sake of Pakistan. All of us have the same enemy!

The "French Revolution"

According to Wikipedia, “The French Revolution (1789–1799) was a period of radical social and political upheaval in French and European history. The absolute monarchy that had ruled France for centuries collapsed in three years. French society underwent an epic transformation as feudal, aristocratic, and religious privileges evaporated under a sustained assault from liberal political groups and the masses on the streets. Old ideas about hierarchy and tradition succumbed to new Enlightenment principles of citizenship and inalienable rights.”

One may argue that the person calling for the revolution may not be present in Pakistan, but one cannot deny the fact that MQM’s Chief Altaf Hussain speaks of the will of millions present on ground, which is at this time prevalent in the country especially after the massive displacement by the floods. The national mood in Pakistan now, is no different than the public sentiment prompting the French Revolution which is a common ingredient for a public uprising brewing in Pakistan.

It took them 3 years, maybe it will take Pakistan only 3 days. Hence, the comparison must be of basic disorderly similarities leading to the demand for change, accountability of the oppressors, and justice for the oppressed.

We’re not French, neither we are European nor we have monarchy rule in Pakistan. But what we know is that never before Pakistan had gone through such devastating times, which was natural initially, but tempered with by political and establishment’s heavy-weights along the way as the flood waters passed through Punjab and Sindh. This was done at the behest of the law enforcement agencies on orders of the Feudals supported by the establishment, which led to inundation of thousands of villages that would have been spared if the water was let to follow its natural course. Only for selfish gains, lives and livelihood of millions of the poorest of this country were destroyed for years to come.

Unfortunately, our corrupt politicians were following the policy of ‘more damage equals more aid’ but it did not work out this time. The world has pledged a total of US$ 1 billion, out of which Pakistan is yet to receive 80% of pledges even after a month since the devastation had started. It is clear the world does not trust our administration and the Government to help bail out this country from further collapse, and there is no economic way, Pakistanis will be able to recover from it alone. In comparison, the Balakot earthquake of 2005 got US$ 6.4 billion in a short period for foreign countries and billions worth of local aid and donations from citizens.

Rehabilitation needs finances, and the delay will force famine, malnutrition, inflation, disease and death. We are witnessing these factors on a daily basis in Pakistan at the relief camps and localities where help is yet to arrive, thus forcing intentional starvation of people who once had homes, land and assets to fall back on.

Our national debt is touching $55 billion and we need another $15 billion only to bring back Pakistan to 27th July 2010. This financial strain is due to the continuity of the culture of mismanagement and lavish expenditures of the rulers and looting, plundering national wealth by the most corrupt politicians and bureaucracy of Pakistan. The system of taxation is inadequate and inefficient, and directly heading towards a collapse, especially when inflation is spiraling out of control and only by increasing levies on utilities will be used for income generation by the government. French were unable to manage national debt because of wars, but we are suffering at the mercy of our elected fake degree possessing politicians and their selfish needs.

It is imperative, that the Judiciary of Pakistan must understand where this nation is heading, and must take steps with the patriot power circles to win the trust of the citizens and the International community, before the rural settlers start marching to urban centers without the fear of being turned back, as they will have nothing to lose except their lives for whatever it takes. Honorable, serving or retired judges need to preempt a possible reaction from the millions who are looking for justice, equality, and fair compensation against their losses, with right of rehabilitation, instead of letting these corrupt Feudals decide the fate of nation.

With the available provision in the Constitution of Pakistan “Part VII, Chapter 2 of the Constitution (Articles 176 through 191)” that deals with the powers, composition, rules, and responsibilities of the Supreme Court. The specific Article 190 says – “all executive and judicial authorities in Pakistan are bound to aid the Supreme Court.”

Pakistan Army is the most popular organized management establishment in Pakistan, if we were to choose from the best. Since the army has been the first and foremost to provide relief to the flood victims. The people of this country will welcome a step taken by the judiciary to instruct the armed forces of Pakistan to carry on its orders to its fullest implementation.

Of course, the corrective steps need to be taken before the actual “Pakistani Revolution” takes place. It is time the outgoing generation of Pakistan should undo its devastating trends itself, so that the future generations can have at least peace and security in Pakistan.

Court Decision against Imran Khan

Court Decision against Imran Khan that he is, the father of Tyrain White and Imran Khan never challenged that decision as he knows well that court is right and he is Father of Sita White Daughter Tyrain.
According to Pakistani Constitution Imran Khan cannot participated in Elections due to his wrong doings.

Leader for a Sustainable Revolution in Pakistan - Why Altaf Hussain?

A man with a vision and ideology, starting from a student organization, and working his way forward to the 3rd largest political party of Pakistan in spite of the challenges met along the way, is a better and a stronger person than any of us, who dare to take this step. Often speaking against the status-quo and challenging the rulers regularly, or becoming a hindrance for an issue which may have foreseeable disadvantages, Altaf Hussain has been the most effective living leader in the 63 years of this country and one of the extremely powerful politicians of Pakistan

During the 90’s where there was PTV and ISPR released news reports, this party fell victim to the worst kind of state torture and defamation known to Pakistani’s. Criminal cases were established against the leadership, which forced many to flee the country, or go into hiding to save their lives. Until today not a single case of Murder, arson, or kidnapping has not been able to be proven on to the party or the leadership, yet the dis-information campaign then was so effective that North of Hyderabad (Sindh) the nation was engulfed into a perception which still haunts the party on occasions.

Charter of Democracy was an acceptance that both the “democratic” Governments of PPP and PML-N during the 90’s did promote political victimization, where baseless allegation were labeled against each other when either of them got power. Just like the current primary contestants to top the “Fake Degree” honor roll, in the past each of them created cases of corruption, murder, theft, kidnapping and what not against their political opponents. MQM got the worst of both, PPP along with targeting PML-N was trying its best to crush the voice of the middle class who is a direct threat to the party itself. When PML-N turn came in, they again started their “revenge” on PPP and dragged MQM along the political disaster. One must not forget that both the PPP and PML-N Governments had to face the kick out of the Parliament by its own President or Army Chiefs precisely for pushing Karachi into darkness.

While this political victimization continued, both PPP and PML-N had created cases against MQM leaders and legislators mostly for arson, maintenance of public order, and murder, but both parties knew that MQM was not corrupt, therefore, no corruption cases against MQM from then till date.

Winning of seats in Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir allowed the steps to widen further, only because the people from these areas were residents of Karachi, where they saw this Movement work for the welfare of its people whenever it was given the chance. The recent record holding win in Karachi PS94 was not able to send a revolutionary message to the remaining of Pakistan that people of Karachi do believe in this Movement and continue to support it despite of the continued allegation leveled against it, now by political quarters who find it easy to put the blame on MQM as the past perceptions are already developed. But then again we had to go through deadly target killings and collapse of law and orders in order to send the wrong message once again to the people of Pakistan. But as days progressed, the understanding of the criminals and their agendas were highlighted and the law enforcement prompted into taking stern actions.

Most who do not have any proofs or support for the previously created propaganda, and continued table stories by some newspapers, a portion of the opponents of Altaf Hussain do not like him because of his way of addressing during his speeches. Here, we fail to realize that most of the Aalim’s in Pakistan and the Shia faith use the same way of oration to gain most attention and put the message across most effectively without losing its meaning. Nevertheless, almost all leaders have their style of disseminating the ideologies and their vision (if they have any), e.g Ch. Shujaat, Jahangir Badr, Sher Afghan Niazi etc.. The other half asks him to come back to Pakistan, ignoring the enormous growth this party has shown through each of the elections starting from 1986.

I feel if Pakistan has to go through a revolution, then we need to weigh the possibilities of it realistically, because we need to change ourselves before we think about changing the system, and as per my experience, this is all what Altaf Hussain has been teaching all his political life, therefore the party hierarchical discipline and its professional execution. The greatest revolution of our generation is the discovery that human beings, by changing the inner attitudes of their minds, can change the outer aspects of their lives” William James. But yes, the only way forward is a revolution of the masses to take control of the country from few many whom this nation has already had enough of already. For the Revolution we need a leader, and I feel that Altaf Hussain is the only person with the personality which connects to the hard working masses with the best of the understanding and similarities.

  • More than 35 years of political experience
  • Self made natural leader from day one, had started his own student movement.
  • From a middle-class urban family, with hand to mouth earning and living standards.
  • Direct relations with families participated with Pakistan Movement, and migration sufferings.
  • Faced and learned from majority discrimination, based on ethnicity, quota and civil / military system.
  • An architect who built an effective organization with his most trusted partner Dr. Imran Farooq.
  • Suffered loses of immediate family and friends. Knows the feeling.
  • A very open and an emotional person, a father figure, a genuine original. Never lets status or culture come in between his expression of feelings.
  • A leader who is so feared by the rulers, that physical arson and theft cases made against him after he had shifted to London. Such as stealing a cap of a police officer, and throwing a rock at a moving bus.
  • An initiator, believer, and promoter of ‘realism and practicalism’ as opposed to the usual opportunistic, theoretical, false-promises, idealistic and religious type of politics.
  • Revolutionary manifesto for reforms in favor of the common man and practical justice across the board.
  • Offered the best and educated professionals for public service, State enterprises, Local Government for corruption free performance and actual results.
  • The leader who has never desired to be a Prime Minister or a President or any designation, neither has he ever placed his immediate relatives to any of the notable public offices.
  • His ideology has saved Pakistan from sectarian intolerance with main emphasis on the “rights” of the minorities of Pakistan.
  • The first leader, to have identified and exposed Talibanization of Pakistani cities, especially Karachi. The only party to abstain from passing of the Sharia-Law for SWAT last year.
  • A direct threat to the current system and feared by the most powerful of the nation, by openly declaring mis-deeds, and non-democratic or corrupt actions of Feudals or Military personnel.
  • True patriot, with a philosophy for the sub-continent, and a loving, caring person of humanity. A true neighbor, realizing the blunders of the past leaders, but efficiently adapting and adjusting to the environment for economic and social progress of Pakistan.

Who would want to lose such a leader to his enemies? And especially when he is the only leader who is able to speak openly against the ad-hoc-ism present in our revenge filled democracy. Pakistan has to date not found the killers of its leaders, and the member of Altaf Hussain’s party have all the right to keep their ideological leader away from harm’s way. Mohtarama’s coming to Pakistan was not bravery, it was foolishness on part of the opportunistic member of her party to have asked her to come back in spite of knowing and self suffering the brutality of the system. Look at what we have now?

Conclusion: I will go with Altaf Hussain’s call as he is the most suitable, honest and sincere to lead us out of this mess.

Twoliticians of Pakistan

It is great to see our leadership on cyberspace and especially on Twitter, being the “in-thing” these days for social contact. Most of them hardly tweet, but when they do, its on local and national issues related to their party policy, any message, or giving a piece of their mind to the opposition. It is always interesting to be viewing their real-time thoughts. It’s normally a monologue, but some occasionally do reply to your tweets.

Each of them has a personality of their own, with affiliation, past and the general public opinion, which leads one to develop stereotypes individually. Some of them have famous quotes, which are remembered for a laugh or had subliminally meant something from it. While reviewing success quotes one day, I tried to set each of them with our leaders present on Twitter, as to how I see them carrying themselves forward in the vicious and dangerous political arena of Pakistan.

Maybe you have a different opinion about them, but we must realize, these are the people who possess the courage to face the nation and its opposition every day, while most of us can only criticize, but forget to appreciate if any of them does well. Let us be fair!

Target Killers and their Heads in Karachi Exposed
